A Little Update

I know I’ve mentioned it on Twitter but I thought I’d mention it here since not every follows me on Twitter. I got the job. I started on the 15th actually. Tomorrow will be two weeks. I’m really liking it so far. There are two things that I really have to get used to though. Standing up on my feet all day and getting paid every two weeks instead of every week. We aren’t allowed to sit down at all. Unless for our lunch break of course. Which, by the way, is an hour long. I’m not used that. I’m used to thirty minutes at my other job and even then I really only used fifteen of those thirty minutes. So, it’s definitely taking some time to get used to. I live 20 minutes away so I have to find something to do for that hour besides eat. It wouldn’t be so bad if there was a Wal Mart or a Target but there isn’t. /: Anyways, just wanted to update you guys on that front. Friday Bryan and I are meeting my family in Monroe after I get off work. There is a tattoo shop that is trying to break the record for the most tattoos done by a single artist in twenty four hours. All the proceeds go to three different charities. The names aren’t coming to me at the moment though. He is doing a really awesome looking star. I plan on getting four on my side. They aren’t very big at all so I think it will look good. Everyone else seems to think so. I’m really excited about it but also a little nervous. I have a feeling that it is going to hurt like hell on my side. Mainly because I’m ticklish but because that just seems like a very tender part of the body. I plan on taking pictures once it heals…if I even go through with it. Haha.

Going Green

Well, we aren’t really going green but our walls sure are. We are planning on painting our room a light green with cream/beige trim. That’s if we ever get around to actually going out and getting the paint. We have been wanting to redo our room for a long time now and we are finally going to be able to do. I’m so sick of looking at this room. It’s Barney colors and I’m not really sure why anyone would want it that way. It’s hideous. Anyways, we are redoing all of the walls, the floor, the ceiling, the molding and of course painting. We are also planning on buy a few new pieces of furniture. I say a few but it’s more like every single thing in our room will be new. Two desks, a TV stand, bed frames(possibly a new bed entirely), bed side tables and one or two new small book shelves. It’s going to cost a pretty penny but it really needs to get done. I’m so ready to rip this ugly ass green shag carpet up. I’m ready for some pretty wood floors. Hopefully we will be going to Lowe’s sometime this week to get everything that we need. We really need to get started soon though since we will be starting work in about two weeks. Once we start work we won’t be able to do a darn thing until work ends. I don’t know if I can wait much longer even though I’ve waited this long to do it. I think with three possibly four people doing this room we can get it done pretty quickly. One thing we haven’t figured out yet is where we will be sleeping and where all of our crap is going while all of this is going on.

Picture Day

Today has been such a long day. I’m not even really sure why since I haven’t really done anything to day. I’ve been taking pictures like crazy today. I’ve also uploaded a ton of pictures to Flickr today. Today was such a beautiful day that we swam most of today. We were going to go back out later after we ate but it starting raining. The rain came out of nowhere because not even five minutes earlier I took a shot of the clouds and posted it on Flickr. It’s crazy how quickly the weather can change.
I woke up this morning er, afternoon to birthday cake waiting on me. My birthday isn’t until this Saturday but Bryan let me have the cake he bought me today. He bought me a round cake this year since I’ve always had square birthday cakes. I’ve always wanted a round cake. Not really sure why. They are both going to taste the same no matter what shape they are, lol. I’m weird like that though. I get another birthday cake this weekend when we go to my parent’s house. My mom will be making me a cake. Or possibly my dad. Who knows. I’m going to leave you with a few pictures from today. The rest can be found on my Flickr which I have linked above. :]

Down to a T

As you can see I posted the results of a personality test in my last post. I was bored and someone on my friends list posted their results. I thought it would be interesting to see what mine would say about me. I think it’s pretty much got me down to a T. I included the link in case anyone else wanted to do it as well. Let me know if you decide to take and if you posted it. I’d like to read a little about your personality.

I know in my last post I said I would try to blog more. I’ve been wanting to blog. I really have but I’m having trouble coming up with things to write about. Nothing is going on in my life right now that’s actually interesting to write about. I’ve tried coming up with other things I could write about. Anyone have any good ideas or topics that they would like to see? I’m running out of ideas. I say that but really…I have no ideas. At all. I know. I’m boring. I can’t help it, haha. Also, does anyone else besides me have trouble coming up with titles for the posts?! I don’t know why I have such a hard time thinking of them.

Anyways, I have to wake up pretty early in the morning. I have to call VoTech to see when their deadline to sign up for classes is. I also need to see what type of classes they are offering. I know they offer nursing and I’m almost certain that is what I want to do but I want see what my other options are. I think I’d much rather do nursing at VoTech and than Phlebotemy at CTC. Classes won’t start until next May and they will go five days a week. Which really doesn’t leave much time for work. Although, VoTech does give you gas money every two weeks. Another plus…It’s only about 15 miles from the house.

Damn mosquitoes. That’s the fifth one I’ve killed in the past three minutes. I hate summer.

Spotaneous Idealist

(Just visiting? Take the free test and determine your personality type!)

Spontaneous Idealists are creative, lively and open-minded persons. They are humorous and dispose of a contagious zest for life. Their enthusiasm and sparkling energy inspires others and sweeps them along. They enjoy being together with other people and often have an uncanny intuition for their motivations and potential. Spontaneous Idealists are masters of communication and very amusing and gifted entertainers. Fun and variety are guaranteed when they are around. However, they are sometimes somewhat too impulsive in dealing with others and can hurt people without really meaning to do so, due to their direct and sometimes critical nature.

This personality type is a keen and alert observer; they miss nothing which is going on around them. In extreme cases, they tend to be oversensitive and exaggeratedly alert and are inwardly always ready to jump. Life for them is an exciting drama full of emotionality. However, they quickly become bored when things repeat themselves and too much detailed work and care is required. Their creativity, their imaginativeness and their originality become most noticeable when developing new projects and ideas - they then leave the meticulous implementation of the whole to others. On the whole, Spontaneous Idealists attach great value to their inner and outward independence and do not like accepting a subordinate role. They therefore have problems with hierarchies and authorities.

If you have a Spontaneous Idealist as your friend, you will never be bored; with them, you can enjoy life to the full and celebrate the best parties. At the same time, they are warm, sensitive, attentive and always willing to help. If Spontaneous Idealists have just fallen in love, the sky is full of violins and their new partners are showered with attention and affection. This type then bubbles over with charm, tenderness and imagination. But, unfortunately, it soon becomes boring for them once the novelty has worn off. Boring everyday life in a partnership is not for them so that many Spontaneous Idealists slip from one affair into another. However, should the partner manage to keep their curiosity alive and not let routine and familiarity gain the upper hand, Spontaneous Idealists can be inspiring and loving partners.

Adjectives which describe your type

It's Hard

If you have been reading my blog lately(not much to read though) then you will know that I started work last week. I haven’t worked a full day this week except for today. I got one of my jaw teeth pulled Tuesday afternoon so I only worked until twelve. It took them and hour and a half to pull that one tooth. It took twelve shots for it to numb and even then it didn’t numb all of the way. I couldn’t sit there any longer so I just let him pull the tooth even though I could still feel the pain. The pulling wasn’t as bad as I was expecting. But, it is definitely hurting now. My face is still a little swollen and my gums and jaw bone are extremely sensitive and bruised. I have a bruise on the inside of my mouth on the far back and hole my mouth from where the tooth was pulled. I hope I never have to get another tooth pulled in my life. The pain is horrible. What makes it even worse is that I work twelve hours a day and I am not able to take the pain medicine they prescribed me because it makes me sick to my stomach and sleepy. So, I’m having to take Advil or something along those lines to keep the pain to a minimum for a few hours and the pop some more. I haven’t had much to eat the past three days. I can’t really eat that much. I can’t wait for my mouth to heal so I can’t eat like I used to and not worry about it hurting. In other news, Bryan bought me two hermit crabs yesterday as an early birthday present. I have yet to take pictures but I will soon. I’ve just been so crazy busy lately that I haven’t really had a chance to do much of anything. Bryan asked me what I wanted for my birthday besides those hermit crabs and I replied like I usually do when asked a question like that. I don’t know. I don’t care. He asked if I would like all of The Sims 2 expansion packs and stuff packs. I said of course. We’ve gotten all but two of the stuff packs I think. We are working of the expansion packs now. (WOW! My medicine is starting to kick in now. I’m a little woozy and everything is a little blurry.) In other sad news, our dog died today. Butch was six years old(in human years). We aren’t really sure what was wrong with him but Bryan thinks he may have had heart worms. A few days ago he started moping around a lot and wouldn’t eat and every time he drank water he would throw it up along with blood. Bryan told me today when I came home for lunch that I better say my goodbyes to him because he didn’t think he last much longer. I got through eating lunch and was going out back to say goodbye and I couldn’t even do that because he had already died in the thirty minutes that we were inside. I cried like a baby. I had to quickly stop the crying and dry up the tears because I was headed back to work. I’m actually tearing up right now. It’s always so hard to lose a pet. Well, this medicine is making me sleepy so I’m going to head out for now. I just wanted to update everyone on what has been going on lately.

Not Around Lately

I started work this past Tuesday. Twelve hour days seven days a week. Possibly only six days a week. It rained Thursday night so no one was able to cut Friday so I stayed for two hours and came home. I didn’t have to work today and I won’t be working tomorrow. I get to sleep in which is going to be extremely nice. Working twelve hours a day doesn’t really leave me much time for the internet because as soon as I get home I want to pass out. I’ve been trying to keep up with all of the blogs I follow and check in on the message boards. The one thing I keep forgetting to do is come here and write. I’m surprised I’m here right now writing about things no one really cares about, haha. I just wanted to do a quick post about what was up and why you may not see me too much from now on. On to other things, I bought a new purse last night from Target. I couldn’t find a picture of it on the internet to show you guys but it’s so cute. I love it. I also bought The Sims 2 Double Deluxe and Glamour Life Stuff the other day. I haven’t really had the chance to play it much. I will be doing a lot of playing tonight and tomorrow since I am off work. Oh, I received my Pouchee today. It’s so cute and it fits perfectly in my purse. I will have to take a picture of it later and post it to Flickr.

Waiting

I should be starting work again soon. The farmers are supposed to start cutting wheat by this coming Monday. I’m hoping that they call me back. Bryan is almost certain they will. If they do then that means that I will almost three extra months to work than I got last year. I’m so ready to start back at work again. I didn’t realize how much actually liked working and having money coming in each week until I got laid off. That’s the only thing that sucks about seasonal work and working with farming. You don’t work all year round. I love my job but it’s just not enough. I need a full time job and not a seasonal job. I’ve been looking but everyone that is hiring is an hour or so away. I’ll have to wait until we decide to move closer to my parents which is where all of the good jobs are. On another note, I’ve decided to wait until I do get a full time job(which will hopefully be sooner rather than later) to get a MacBook. I’ve come to realize that even though I really WANT one, I do not NEED one. Plus, that is a lot of money to spend on computer when I have a perfectly good computer right now. It’s just too much money to spend when you only have seasonal job. I’m still getting one but it’s going to be put off for right now. I am however still going in half with Bryan on the Nikon D40x. That’s not as much so it’s no big deal. I’m really excited to get it after I had a long chat with Jenn the other day about her Nikon D40x. I can’t wait to get one. And before I go, I got a horrible sunburn on my shoulders the other day because Bryan put tanning lotion on my shoulders and without me thinking I went back and put more on in the same spot. Not a great idea. It doesn’t hurt as bad anymore though.

Tanning, Cameras and MacBooks

I can’t believe that tomorrow will be May. I say this every time a new month comes along but time does really feel like it’s flying by. It really does. Not much has been going on lately. I should be starting work sometime in May if they need me back for wheat. I’m hoping they do. I’m ready to get back to work. I’m planning on buying a new MacBook when I start working. Bryan and I are also planning on going in half on a Nikon. Not sure if we will go with the D40x like we originally planned or if we will go with a different one. I think he is set on getting the D40x though. I’m extremely excited about getting a MacBook though. I’ve been wanting one for a while now and I will finally be able to buy it for myself. Which is nice too. The rest of the money I make will be put back after we buy those two things. I’m wanting to save up for a VW Beetle. Another thing that I’ve been wanting for a while now. The river seems to be going down over here. Slowly but surely. Hopefully I didn’t just jinx it though, lol. Oh, we got the pool set up and water in it. It’s getting warmer out again so I’ve been able to swim in it. I was in for about an hour yesterday and about two hours today. Bryan’s mom swam with me today since Bryan didn’t feel like getting in. You can definitely see the tan lines on me now. I plan on laying out tomorrow. I’m as white as a ghost so I really need a tan.

It's All Done

We finally talked Bryan’s mom into getting us a pool yesterday. It’s been so hot and it’s only going to get hotter and we’ve been wanting one for a while now. She wanted one as well so it wasn’t that hard to talk her into getting a pool. We wanted the bigger and more expensive pool but we decided to go on the other pool we had in mind. It’s not as big but it is still a pretty good size. It’s better than nothing. I just wanted a pool, lol. We spent all day yesterday running back and forth to Wal-Mart because we kept forgetting things that we needed. We got the pool up yesterday with just us three doing the work. It was extremely hot outside and I just couldn’t wait to get up and get water in it. We let the water go all night and was full by the time we woke up this morning. The only thing that sucks though is now it’s raining and cold outside. I just knew that was going to happen as soon as we got it up and filled with water. It’s just our luck. Horrible luck, lol. It should start warming up tomorrow or Monday so we will be able to get into and swim then. I’m just happy to have a pool and hopefully we will be able to use it soon, haha. All I need to do now is buy a new bathing suit. Or two.
